ブリキのおもちゃのジオラマ写真作品の制作は、 多くの自動車カタログや広告撮影のために旅した日本や世界各国の風景を、
背景として撮影したことから始まりました。

私がコレクションした美しく、楽しく、夢を持たせてくれるブリキのおもちゃに、これまで撮影してきた多くの背景写真の中から 違和感のない風景を選び、太陽光にちかいライティングを施し、多重露光で合成し作品に仕上げます。


時代の流れ、科学の進歩、ファッション、デザインの移り変わりを素早く取り入れ製作されるブリキのおもちゃ。
ブリキのおもちゃのジオラマ写真。その美しさ、楽しさ、思い出、懐かしさから親子、家族、仲間達の楽しい会話が生まれることを願っています。

The creation of these tin toy dioramas began with the landscape photographs I took as I traveled in Japan and around the world to shoot photographs for numerous automobile catalogues and advertisements. To produce these dioramas, I combined items from my collection of tin toys, that are beautiful, fun and full of dreams, with these landscapes I had photographed in the past, taking care to choose backgrounds that harmonized with the subjects, lighting them to match the sunlight in the originals and using multiple exposures. Tin toys reflect the passage of time, advances in science, fashion, and changes in design, all of which are captured promptly through their forms. I hope that the beauty, fun, memories and nostalgia contained in these photographs of tin toy dioramas will lead to enjoyable conversations between parents and children, families and close friends.

トシ・ワカバヤシ

秋山庄太郎氏に師事
1961年 日本デザインセンター入社
1967年 アメリカ・デトロイト、ジョージ・カワモトスタジオに入社。
1969年 帰国後、トシ・フォトグラフィー設立。
TOYOTA2000GTやセリカをはじめとするトヨタ自動車を30年に渡って撮影。
1979年 スタジオ・14設立
2013年 公益社団法人日本広告写真家協会(APA)在籍40年

2008年〜箱根写真美術館にて個展 2013年　富士フイルムフォトサロンにて個展

ブリキのオモチャをモチーフにしたジオラマ写真シリーズは、自身のコレクションであるオモチャと、国内外で撮影した風景とを合成撮影した作品。1970年頃から制作・発表を続ける。
